The deer park covers more than 7 hectares of meadows and forest, and is home to more than 30 red deer and fallow deer.
The walk around the perimeter is open all year round.
You can complete the entire round in 10–15 minutes on foot; it is also suitable for trekking strollers.
NOTE: In winter, you can only walk three-quarters of the way round the perimeter because part of the circuit is crossed by the ski slope, which is extremely dangerous and therefore not recommended.
The meeting point for the tour is on the terrace of the 'Rifugio Paraciora': Tuesday, 10.00 am.
From there, Lukas will guide you around the deer park and, thanks to him, you’ll also be able to see the deer from close up.
The tour lasts about an hour.
No booking is required for the guided tour on Tuesdays.
The park can be visited by yourself all year round.
The guided tour on Tuesdays is free of charge.
Dogs are welcome!
Dogs must be kept on a lease always and kept at least 2 metres away from the enclosure.
Most of the walking trail is accessible with a stroller.
The path is unpaved, so a trekking stroller is recommended.
In a close encounter with more than 30 red deer and fallow deer, you’ll be able to feed them straight from your hand. You’ll discover lots of curious facts about these magnificent forest residents.
PLEASE NOTE: This experience is reserved exclusively for our guests staying at ‘Les Viles Apartments’ & ‘Chalet la Varieté’!
Welcome to Ütia Paraciora, {from Ladin; ütia = hut, paraciora = ugly pasture}!
This small mountain hut was built near the Sponata ski slope in 1993, and on 26 December of that same year, Wilma and Klaus Castlunger, sister and brother, began running the gastronomic activity.
Years have passed, but the hospitality and warmth have remained the same, and so we would like to welcome you.
